A new Request for Comments is now available in online RFC libraries.
RFC 1478:
Title: An Architecture for Inter-Domain Policy Routing
Author: M. Steenstrup
Mailbox: msteenst@bbn.com
Pages: 35
Characters: 90,673
Updates/Obsoletes: none
This RFC presents an architecture for inter-domain policy routing
(IDPR). The objective of IDPR is to construct and maintain routes,
between source and destination administrative domains, that provide
user traffic with the requested services within the constraints
stipulated for the domains transited. The IDPR architecture is
designed to accommodate an internetwork containing tens of thousands
of administrative domains with heterogeneous service requirements and
restrictions.
This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.
This RFC specifies an IAB standards track protocol for the Internet
community, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements.
Please refer to the current edition of the "IAB Official Protocol
Standards" for the standardization state and status of this protocol.
Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
